SusCom Customers to Receive Faster Broadband Speed
SusCom Announces Speed Increases for High Speed Internet Service

(York, PA), Feb. 1, 2005 - At a time when most cable operators are being criticized for raising rates, SusCom is offering free speed increases to its current cable modem customers.

On January 31, 2005, SusCom more than tripled the download speed of its standard high-speed Internet service to 5Mbps. Customers can surf the Web at speeds nearly 100 times faster than the fastest possible 56Kbps dial-up connection and 6 times faster than a 768Kbps DSL connection. The improved service also features a twice-as-fast upload speed and provides unmatched capabilities for video and music downloads, online gaming, instant messaging, and access to ESPN Broadband. The speed increase is provided to all SusCom Cable Modem residential service customers in the York, PA; Williamsport, PA; Rankin County, MS; and Lawrenceburg, IN markets at no additional charge and without any customer action required - the upgrade is done automatically.

SusCom's standard service offers customers a customizable StartPage with local and national news, sports, stock quotes, entertainment, weather and access to an exclusive package of premium online content. Junk email and virus protection is included in the service at no charge as well.

"SusCom customers have come to expect that we'll keep them on the leading edge of Internet speed and performance. Our new, faster-speed service does just that and reflects our constant innovation in the high-speed Internet area" said Dan Templin, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Management for SusCom.

SusCom is a recognized leader in the delivery of cable television and other broadband digital telecommunications services, all supported with exceptional customer care. The York, PA-based company operates networks in Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Maine, Illinois, Indiana and New York, serving over 235,000 customers, ranking it among the Top 20 cable and broadband companies in the U.S.
